GROUP GATHERINGS
Because of its layout, Mountain Rivers Lodge is ideal for small groups, clubs or extended family gatherings. The whole lodge can be booked for family reunions, weddings, club meetings or small corporate functions. The central lounge/dining/kitchen room makes a great communal area. External catering can be arranged if required.

FAMILY FRIENDLY
Children coming onto the Mountain Rivers property will find many special things to do and explore. However because of its diverse activities and features, it is important for children and supervising parents to be orientated as to which areas are safe and available to them.

The lounge area has
children's cupboards with books, games, puzzles and craft materials. Outside is the bird feeder where king parrots, crimson rosellas, corellas and kookaburras often can be seen from the veranda.

The
farm has horses and goats which are interesting to look at, but should be approached cautiously. Tracks around the property are good for walking or mountain bike riding. This includes the paintball fields when they are not in use.

Beyond the dam, near Happy Jacks Creek is the '
Fern Gully Walk', in the 'Enchanted Forest'. It is essential that adults be accompanied by children in this area, so that the yellow markers on the trees are followed, and some fairy tale characters who live in the forest may be encountered. At night-time, the west boundary track below the lower carpark is good for owl and glider spotting with a good torch. Occasionally wombats, wallabies, koalas or deer  may be seen as well.

CHURCH GROUPS OR WEDDINGS
Just east of the lodge is an old cypress tree, and a huge cross, on the lawns overlooking the valley. An outdoor chapel can be set up here.

A weekend get-together is a great way to strengthen your family or small group!
